ABOUT
Singer, songwriter and guitarist since his teen years,
Stilpon embarked on his rock ‘n’ roll journey in 1979 with Greek rocker Pavlos Sidiropoulos and his band The Company of Artists.
From 1982 to 1987, he led the alt-rock band Rodondo Rocks, touring Greece and Southern Europe and recorded two albums, Standard Deviation and Land of Nod.
Moving to Paris in 1988, he continued writing and performing his songs with The Cloud Commission (which released an EP in 1995), and The Opry Dropouts with cult legend Delaney Blue. Before moving to London, in 2000 he recorded his album Stilpon with a jazz folk trio. His guitar-infused folk rock album When Time Is Up was released in London in 2011.
In 2023, Stilpon recorded The Second Cloud Commission, an album of contemporary rock ‘n’ roll with Danny Montgomery, Paul Wallfisch, Marten Ingle and Steven Forward at La Frette Studios, released in 2024. Elliott Murphy was a special guest contributing backing vocals and harmonics.
